iheartplants Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 Hi guys! I will be joining CU Boulder's EBIO PhD program beginning this summer/fall. Anyone else headed to Boulder? I am starting this thread so we can discuss housing, things to do, meetups, and general excitement! GO BUFFS!
LorenzoilMagnifico Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Hey there! I'm pretty sure that I will be attending (if the funding falls through for my other school)! I think a trip to the Dushanbe Teahouse would be a great place to host a general meeting! iheartplants 1
iheartplants Posted March 25, 2014 Author Posted March 25, 2014 I haven't been to it in my travels to the area yet, but I heard that the Dushanbe Teahouse is awesome! As is all of Boulder from my experiences thus far. Excited to move there in a couple months!
rsilver15 Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Hey! I too will be headed to Boulder in the fall, for the MA-SLP program I think it would be a wonderful idea to meet up at the Dushanbe, it IS awesome! And congrats to you both! iheartplants 1
awkwardsparkle Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Hi! I'm also heading to Boulder, for a PhD with the Institute of Behavioral Genetics. I've only been out there once, so I don't know much about places to go, but I'd love to meet all of you! Congrats to all iheartplants 1
S_Colorado Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 I'm going to CU Boulder as well! I am very excited to be headed out there this summer. I can't wait to start packing! I am looking for a roommate or two with whom to share a large apartment or a house. I am a quiet roommate who loves to cook and hike. I have a wonderful 4 year old medium-sized pound puppy who is very well trained. I walk him a few hours a day and plan to go on lots of hikes when we are living in Boulder. I'd love to find other graduate students who love dogs and animals, and maybe even have a dog or cat of their own. My cat died last winter and my dog has been missing having another animal in the house. I do come home to quietly relax or study so I'd like roommates who do the same. If you are interested, message me and maybe we can connect on facebook.
