Do EE Faculty at UNL/FSU/Clemson perform interviews before assigning RA?

Hello Everyone!

 

(1) I have been admitted in the 1st round by the graduate committee to the Electrical Engineering PhD program at University of Nebraska-Lincoln for Fall 2014.

I would like to know do the faculty perform any kind of interview prerequisite before deciding to give RA, or they just assign it based on application package?

 

(2) I've also been admitted to EE at Florida State University, but no funding!
