What about $15.000 for nine months in Davis, California? And at least $3.800 for summer activities?

I'm an undergrad at Davis right now, and that seems like a very good deal to me! I live in a 2-bedroom apartment that's kind of old but very close to campus, and we pay $995 a month (we have a weird deal worked out because the bedrooms are different sizes, plus I pay for parking, so my share is a little over $500 a month). I know the rate here is increasing to something like $1025 (not a huge increase) and I think that 2-bedroom places are, in general, about $1000-$1100 a month. One-bedrooms are probably in the $650-750 range, but I don't really know for sure...

As far as other expenses...it gets VERY hot in the summer, and even though my roommate and I TRIED to save money by not turning on the AC, thee was one month where my half of the utilities was $95...eee....

But I think it's a relatively inexpensive place to live, overall. It's definitely a college town, so there are student discounts EVERYWHERE....restaurants, movies, etc..
