I contacted Helpdesk at Hunter College regarding creating my Cunyfirst account and they told me that it takes about 3-4 weeks after the commitment deposit is received by the college to process student's info. Hunter admin told me they'd email out orientation info for out-of-state students, but my registration window opened up last week, so I'd like to register a.s.a.p. Has anyone done this already? Also, if you or anyone you know are looking for a roommate, I'm looking to move by August. Budget is up to $550/mo. (with utilities). Don't mind sharing a room and would prefer to live in Brooklyn. So I'm not sure if they changed the requirements for that class this year. The other 4 are available though. As for housing options, craigslist is best source for finding roommates. The lead time for finding a nyc apt is very short. I may suggest you find somewhere temporary end of July so you can then look to move in immediately. Good luck! Also, don't wire any money or anything like that until you see the apart,nets with your own eyes. Lots of scams. Professor has already sent out the syllabus with 2 reading assignments needed to be read for the first class. Sorry for any confusion, I am in the advanced standing program so we are technically starting our "second year" even though its our first at hunter.
