Dff Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 Hello everyone! I was admitted into a school but I would really like to visit and get a sense of how it is before accepting it. It seems however that they want to be informed of my decision like right now (and I just got my official letter). Is there a way I could tell them that I want to get a sense of the place before I accept? This seems logical to me since I haven't visited before. In fact, I thought this was customary. Thank you for your help! Thanks!
ProfLorax Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 I want to get a sense of the place before I accept. I think you already have the language for your request! The above sentence is perfectly appropriate, and if the program reacts badly to your request, you should perhaps think twice before accepting that offer.
bsharpe269 Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 Visit! That is a perfect reasonable thing to do and if they are sensible at all, then they will understand.
Francophile1 Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 All schools should give you until april to decide. That is the standard date for acceptance. So don't stress out about not making a decision instantly
