MBALA Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 I'm applying to UCLA EMBA or FEMBA program and I'm wondering if anybody has experience with which prep course to take for the GRE, I'm thinking about the self-paced course combined with a tutor. Kaplan, TPR, Manhattan Prep ? However, any general feedback is appreciated. Thanks in advance...
Just Jeff Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 I've heard some pretty good things about Magoosh. It's at your own pace and the prices aren't as astronomical as those of Kaplan and Princeton Review. Check it out: www.magoosh.com
Pink Rose Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Hey, MBALA. Like the user above me said, Magoosh is an excellent source. It bumped up my GRE score by like 10 points. I also had a Manhattan Prep tutor, but it was kind of expensive. Manhattan Prep definitely has the best practice books, I think. With standardized tests, you just need to practice, practice, practice. Do some word problems for at least a half hour a day. Increase your vocabulary and do your best to keep steady at it. Good luck to you!
MBALA Posted April 8, 2014 Author Posted April 8, 2014 Thanks Pink Rose and Just Jeff. I'll check it out...I'm pretty new to the whole process. I appreciate your feedback.
bobj Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 you can also try the Gradestack GRE exam prep mobile app which has 3500+ vocab flash card, 1000+ test question with detailed solution, study notes. The best part it that you can use this app anywhere, anytime.
