autismclinic Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Hello everyone! I received a reply saying I was approved of admission and my application has been sent to the Graduate studies as a recommendation to start in September 2014. It says, they make the final decision so formal notification will come from them. My question is. Has anyone heard of in clinical psychology being recommended for admission by the department but declined by Graduate Studies? I am so happy to be offered admission...but nervous at the same time.
Munashi Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 This is typically just a formality, unless your application has some oddity. For example, if the graduate school has a "cut off" of a minimum 3.5 GPA, and you've got a 3.0 this has the potential to pose a problem. This situation is pretty rare, though. Sounds very likely you'll get an official offer pretty soon! Chops13 and leSpyFox 2
autismclinic Posted April 14, 2014 Author Posted April 14, 2014 No the graduate school only has a cut off at 3.0 The Program has a much higher cut off. Okay I feel a bit better, thanks! Chops13 1
Munashi Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Best of luck! Hopefully the official decision will reach you quickly, but I don't think you have much to worry about. Chops13 1
