Applied math at RPI

Recommended Posts

I have got an admit from Rensselaer Polytechnic for MS in applied math. Does anyone know how good the program is, from the quality of research and also jobs perspective?  I have got an admit from CMU too, and I know it's a much better university than RPI. But the admit from CMU is in mechanical engineering masters and the applied math course interests me more. I am really confused between these two choices and any help will be much appreciated.
