Do you think this is a good score? I am looking primarily at UC's (Cal, SC, LA, Irvine) for their toxicology/environmental health sciences programs (MS, not phd). I have a 3.5 Ugrad GPA, will have 2 years of undergrad lab experience in sc/developmental neurobio lab and 1.5 years of post-grad experience working in academia as an SRA at time of submission of application. I am thinking I should retake.

Does anyone know if admissions people would rather see a high score on a subject test?

Id retake. DId you study for them? If so what were your practice scores like?

If you didnt study then I would study and try to raise them. Ive seen a huge change in my practice test scores before and after studying (I take the real thing in June so not sure how I'll actually do yet). I have been using Magoosh and really liking it.

If you did study and were getting higher practice scores then I would say you were just nervous and should retake them. This happened to me before my masters. The first time I took them I did horribly because of nervousness. Even my Q section was low and I was a math major! I retook them and focussed on being calmer and just not putting pressure on myself and they were much much higher.

You might be ok depending on how they look at their applicants. For example, if they look at you as a whole part and GRE is not heavily weighed, then you'd probably be ok. However, considering you have more time, try to take it again if you can afford it.

For what it's worth, I got in to UMich with 150V/145Q (I have test anxiety and suck at standardized tests).
