Sunshine5535 Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Anyone have any ideas which programs accept transfer students from other SLP grad programs? Like if someone needs to move across the country, anyone know of options?
ljhslp Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 I imagine you would have to apply into another program, get accepted, and start from the beginning of the program as a new grad student would. A lot of programs are different, though, so I could be completely wrong! I have no idea if this is the case. I've never met any transfer SLP grad students.
Missthang Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 I believe you have to apply to that program as if you're new. Some schools may allow you to transfer any classes already taken, but of course that's something that would need to be discussed. I believe I read somewhere on my school's website that they would only accept so many transferred hours from graduate studies but I'm sure that's different for every school.
