brainman
Hi all! I've started doing some research on grad schools, and wanted to get some opinions over here. What graduate programs do you think are suited well for those who specifically want to work in college/grad school admissions? I've learned that University of Miami has an enrollment management program which seems like a good choice, but I'm looking for others. Your thoughts? wm.geiger
I work in admissions currently. My best advice would be to try to get an entry-level admissions counselor/officer job. That will be the best experiential education at this point. I considered going to grad school in higher ed right after college, but ultimately started working. Right now (3 years in admissions), I am considering doing grad school and feel like I will get so much more out of it with 3 years under my belt. wm.geiger and Edugy

Admissions is probably one of the easiest student affairs areas to get hired with just a bachelor's. Also, if you end up at a school where there is a HESA program, you might be able to get a break on tuition and continue to work there while you complete the program. Otherwise, I'd just look for programs that offer GA positions in Admissions.
