Monika12 Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 (edited) Hello all, I am looking for advices on universities that I can classify as safe for a phD in pathology/microbiology. my top choices are Harvard, MIT, UC Davis, Purdue, UofMinnesota.... . EDIT: 3.94 GPA double major in biology and chemistry. GRE 167-168-5.5. Research, 7month in microbiology, 1 summer in heart disease, and 1 year in virology. 2 publications (2nd name for both) and around 6 poster presentations (first name). Thanks. LMac Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 I think you'll need to include your research interests, stats (GPA, GRE score, research experience, etc) for anyone to be able to help. Aside from that, I don't believe there are any actual "safety" schools per se, since interview and personal/research fit are so important. I've seen many people get in to some programs but not their safety schools over the years. I recommend only applying to schools you would actually attend and be content with if you got in.
