Oh my goodness this thread is giving me anxiety and relief at the same time, if that's possible. I have been absolutely freaking out about the subject test which somehow in my messed up brain equates to zero studying. I'm glad to hear that some of you are also a bit anxious! I thought about visiting my test center beforehand, but I thought I was just being neurotic. Glad to know I'm not crazy!

Where have you guys been taking practice tests? I have one in the back of my ETS book, but I want to save that for when I'm a bit more confident (a.k.a. once I have read most of my Norton Anthologies cover to cover...not really, but kind of really...). However I'm worried that I'll absolutely bomb that practice test and have a break down. If anyone has a resource for another practice test I'd greatly appreciate it! :)

Hello...I thought I'd introduce myself as I too am taking the dreaded subject test. Unfortunately the only date available even remotely close to me was the October date, and I have to fly to Dublin (from England) to take it!

jhefflol: I can sympathise with being so anxious about the test it stops you studying, I have had quite a lot of that. With regards to other practice tests I've managed to find 5 in total - I think 3 were posted on another thread on grad cafe (and then I have the Princeton Review test and the ETS one). I've just been trying to upload the others I have for you but can't figure it out. I'll keep trying, but until then look in previous Subject test threads.

I wouldn't say I'm anxious about it, per se, but other than reading as many books on the "recommended reading list" as possible (there's another thread here on that if you need it), I haven't done much studying yet. I will say, however, that both Hapax Legomena and Vade Mecum are great sites that have summaries, synopses, flash cards, and other helpful information (thanks to LyonessRampant for pointing those out in prior threads). And as mentioned elsewhere, Princeton Review's Cracking the GRE is supposed to be extremely helpful as well. I have a copy less than a foot away from me right now, and have had for about a month, yet haven't once cracked the cover, let alone the GRE. But I'm sure I'll be blown away by its erudition when I do.

Hope that helps!
