Saman Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 Hi, I am working on my CV these days and I have come across an issue which driving me crazy for the last 1 week. I have given it enough thought but still didn't find any answer. My problem involves the "two internships I had in my undergrad days as part of the syllabus i.e. one in counselling and one in clinical psychology- 1 month each", now I am not sure whether or not I should mention them in my CV when it comes to applying to IO psychology Ph.D programs. Would it look weird if I mention them in my CV since it is not pertained to the IO psychology ?? Please let me know your thoughts what you think about it. Any kind of insight would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance
Dedi Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 I think as an undergraduate, any kind of experience (related or not) is helpful. For example, I'm adding all the research projects I was involved in even though half of them don't pertain to my research interests. If you want, I can take a look at your CV and give you a few pointers. It's as much of a learning experience for me as for you. PM me if you are interested.
BeingThere Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 You can list it all on your CV. All psych-related experience is good experience. However, in your personal statement, focus on how your experiences shaped and focused your interest in I/O and whatever your particular research interests are.

Thanks Bren2014 and Victorydance for your comments. I will definitely mention them now, I was a bit ambivalent though but now it seems it has been resolved.
