Just thought I would share this for those who may be interested: enrollment for the ASHA S.T.E.P. online mentoring program is now underway until September 15th. The program pairs a certified SLP mentor with a student mentee, who is free to ask questions about the field, grad school, etc. You can sign-up and read more here: http://www.asha.org/students/mentoring/step/ For quick reference, here are the qualifications for those interested in enrolling in the program: Who can participate as a mentee in the S.T.E.P. program? The program is open to all students however, priority will be given to students who are members of a racial/ethnic minority group, including American Indian or Alaska Native, Asian, Black or African American, Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander, and/or Hispanic/Latino. Undergraduate and graduate students who are or will be enrolled in a communication sciences and disorders programs. You are encouraged to belong to NSSLHA. As part of our goal to strengthen the S.T.E.P. mentoring community, all mentees and mentors are enrolled in the ASHA S.T.E.P. Community. The S.T.E.P. Community is a place for you to connect, learn, and share with other STEP mentees and mentors. To fully participate in the community, you must be an ASHA or NSSLHAmember. Students are encouraged to be a NSSLHA member to have access to all of the conversations that take place in the ASHA S.T.E.P. Community. kumapanda 1
