emiemi Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 When I google images of "national portfolio day ", I saw lots of pictures with people carrying large portfolio bags and with their original paintings. Is that a common practice to bring original paintings ? Some of my paintings are larger than 30x30 inch on stretched canvas, not a good idea to use the originals? Is it better to take large size prints, or a book (16 inch the long side at most ), or even an laptop/ipad? Thanks for your suggestion!
technotronic Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 Thanks for this question, Emiemi. I'd also love to know how people handle their large size work for portfolio reveiws. Any insight would be great to hear!
Xxanderr Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 That would be crazy... I wouldn't risk it! Spend some time taking photos of the piece and then present it on your computer. I don't think schools are expecting to see original work. Try emailing some of the schools and ask what they prefer... I been trying to get more first hand experience regarding Grad National Portfolio day, so if you go please post your experience.
