Should I try to apply with a bad grade first

Undergraduate: computer science major, looking for any Human computer interaction program

GRE V142, Q159

GPA 2.86 (2 semester left)

currently doing research in psychology department

 

I know my current grade is pretty bad. I am trying to improve it in my last year, and I will retake GRE during winter or after I graduate. However, there are some school stop accepting application in January such as indiana university bloomington, Should I at least try to apply those schools before due date ?
