kgrove Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Is there anywhere we can see the selectivity of different graduate schools for PhD programs in Sociology? In other words, what percentage of those who apply that are made offers? Thanks!
SOCphd15 Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 If they don't say outright, there are often context clues; many use percentages or some have pictures of cohorts that may be referenced. Otherwise, it depends on year, funding, etc.
lyrehc Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 Before I switched fields I bought ASA's graduate school guide. It listed how many applied the previous year as well as how many were admitted. The one number I don't remember seeing was those who received offers and turned them down.
SOCphd15 Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 Sometimes libraries will have the current ASA grad school guide, you might check that out. I went to OU for undergrad @lyrehc.
