penguins5871 Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 Hi, I'm just about to start applying to Master's programs for next fall. While I know some have good reputations, it's been hard for me to find much info on others, especially for the specific programs. If anyone knows something about any of them, I'd greatly appreciate your insight! Here's the list: MFT programs Northwestern University (also has Counseling) University of San Diego San Diego State University Chapman University Thomas Jefferson University Iona College Northeastern Illinois University -- Family Counseling Chicago State University -- MHC penguins5871 1
lexmft2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 I don't know about the one's you listed, however I am from the chicago land area and actually ended up moving and attending Mercer university in their MFT program in Atlanta and it is fantastic.
salparadise Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Do they use evidence-based treatments? Are they data-driven? Lots of programs I've seen promote therapies such as Gestalt, psychodynamic, etc., which rarely rely on science in the slightest.
