OverCaffeinated Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 such as stats and bio, can those be credit / no credit? without a grade?
Chandru1 Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 From an admissions standpoint, If it even is allowed to take classes pass/no pass, it'd look better with letter grades for all your classes.
lookwhoslp Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Always take them for credit-- I talked to my advisor about even doing pass/fail for physics and she said no because you might be able to do it now, but some grad programs won't accept it and ASHA most likely won't access it for licensure. :/
OverCaffeinated Posted October 31, 2014 Author Posted October 31, 2014 That's so annoying. I emailed asha and they said it's up to the director. Based on page 4. All it says on page 4 Is Has demonstrated knowledge of the biological sciences, physical sciences, statistics, and social/behavior sciences. If u pass the course seems like u have the knowledge sigh
spursnpearls Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Depends on the school -- some schools I researched wanted a B or better in prereqs and wouldn't accept C/NC. Best to just email each school and find out!
slpfall14 Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 I'm currently a grad student. I took bio in undergrad for a pass/no pass grade. I passed. My graduate coordinator let me use this course towards the requirement. However, I had to show proof that a pass meant a C or better. I could show proof via the course syllabus or the catalog stating this information. The above posters are right, it's up to each program.
