Pursuing M.S. in Mathematics, Want to convert it for the PhD Program

Recommended Posts

Hello guyz,

Currently i am purusuing M.S. in Mathematics and I have finished 9credits so long (First Semester). But, I got a PhD(Applied Mathematics) admit, I just received the offer letter for the Spring 2015 Intake. Can I terminate my Master`s program and join in to the PhD program. I really want to get in to a PhD program. Its not a big deal if the university does not consider those 9credits from Master`s into PhD!!

So guyz, Can I  convert my master`s program into PhD? Is it good to my profile If I do so?

   Thank You Very Much!!

I don't know how common it is but I know of people doing the same thing.

If you ultimately want a PhD, I would probably recommend accepting the offer as long as it isn't frowned upon, which I have not heard of as of yet.
