better search site than gradschools.com & petersons?

I'm just getting started thinking about grad school and could go in a bunch of different directions, either poli sci, public administration, or a politics program. Anyone know a good site for a high-level overview of my options? The ones in the topic title have been disappointing.

What exactly are you looking for?

 

In general, the best way to find schools is to identify scholars whose work you like, and then look at those departments/programs.

I guess I'm at a stage where first I need to decide whether I'm ready to commit to a PhD, or would be better off with a Masters. I'm leaning toward the latter, but it's tricky to get a feel for what's out there in terms of masters degrees in multiple disciplines and the costs and benefits of different types of degrees.

I don't think a website can really answer the questions you are considering. I determined the answers to my own similar questions through talking with professors, graduate students, other undergrad students considering similar things etc. In my opinion, each person has their specific case and you need to get advice from someone who knows you, not a generic website!
