PhDEducation Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Looking for advice about what to do, I have the chance to interview with a member of the adcom team before they meet in the next couple weeks and I was planning on driving about 4.5 hours to be there in person. When doing some follow up I was told they would be more than happy to meet with me but were concerned about the long drive, am I just reading to much into this? Should I still plan on going or stick to the call?
Chianti Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 Choose the interview that you are most comfortable with. If you are someone that shines in person, it makes sense to make the drive, but if you are a great communicator via phone that can be just as successful. If nothing else, making the drive shows that you are serious about the program/committed to them. I would imagine that they are just concerned about you driving that far for an interview---don't overthink it! (Especially when they want to get to know you!)
