SOP Help for Statistics

I am applying to Ph.D. programs and need help with my SOP. The biggest issue I have is trying to explain my very non-traditional background. I know I shouldn't worry too much according to the Math & Statistics board about the SOP but I feel like since I am a special case I need to pay particular attention to what I say.
