HadrianJones Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 Is it true that you MUST answer the question in order to move onto the next question on the computer-based GRE? I was trying to figure out whether it would be advantageous or not to guess, but I suppose it doesn't matter if you are obligated to answer the question.
gurumaster8899 Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 you have to asnwer all teh questions as the test is adaptive, ie your next question will depend on how well you answered the one before it. books like princeton's review have some very good tactics on how to deal with such situations....
fuzzylogician Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 You have to answer the question in order to move onto the next one. If it's one of the first 10 or so, it's worth your time to sit down and work out the answer. The earlier the question appears, the greater the impact it'll have on your grade. If you absolutely don't know and the question appears towards the end of the question set, then it won't do you much harm to just guess and move on to the next question. Consult the books for question solving strategies.
