anthro.fish Posted March 11, 2015 Author Posted March 11, 2015 Got the formal rejection email. 2 for 2. Don't fret too much people . . . rejections are a guaranteed part of the life we've asked for. ThinkPositive 1
czesc Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Got a rejection as well, with a notification that I will get reviewer comments in May. Apparently with the IDRF only the top 10-15% of applications receive reviewer comments...is this true with this award as well or does everyone get them? Trying to find a silver lining here. ThinkPositive Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 For whatever it's worth, my rejection letter said the same thing about receiving comments by May. Not sure if that was just standard wording, but i like the silver lining idea!
jmu Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Got my comments today. Mostly positive. One reviewer thought I should have a more developed theoretical perspective. One reviewer thought I should have focused more geographically. (This is interesting considering everyone I know who has been awarded has larger geographic area than I do now and had even larger ones when they were awarded. I'll chalk it up to people not realizing how small the country I work in actually is. It's a good thing to address in future applications regardless.) One reviewer loved everything about it. Reading reviews is frustrating.
