Any other applicant to Notre Dame?

I am an applicant there, and as i understand, this is a new program at their school and this is the second year of applications. I am sitting on needles waiting for next week, because i have been notified that they will announce whether there will be an interview or just rejection. As i am waiting, i am wondering for those of you who have received interview notifications, was it by the POI him/herself, the graduate director/ school, or an email that tells you to check on your status online?
