As I tackle through the assessments and interviews, I'm getting worried about receiving job offers before I can even get any grad school decisions... so I thought I was being smart applying to many things and now I'm not sure. TheMercySeat Posted January 13, 2015 Share Posted January 13, 2015 My friend got into Wisconsin-Milewaukee about a decade ago, but took a job with the Feds instead. Now he makes ~120k/year with a BA in sociology I should also mention that he's military, so his career path is probably closed off from civilians. aero198 Posted January 13, 2015 Share Posted January 13, 2015 I have applied to jobs too, like Schlumberger, DuPont, Shell etc. I have had internships in two of those and I thought I'll apply as a backup if grad school doesn't work out, my personal situations cannot allow me to spend years waiting for school so I gotta keep some options!
