combustiblecake
So I got an e-mail a few days ago from Indiana University - Bloomington that they were going to interview me on the phone this thursday. The interview is in Spanish, which I assume I'll pass with flying colors (on the proficiency part), but what kind of questions should I expect? Also, I have a strong Puerto Rican accent, should I switch to standard just in case? Vocabulary/pronounciation-wise Spanish varies a lot from culture to culture. Liz113
Hi. Just wanted to say that I also interviewed with Indiana University for the STEPS program. I am a non-native speaker of Spanish, so I am hoping that my fluency is high enough to be accepted. How did you think the interview went?
combustiblecake
It went well. Luckily, the interviewer was Puerto Rican as well so it felt comfortable. Some questions were more about latino populations in general, so I'm going to guess it is based on proficiency
