AMH Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 Okay, maybe my title was a bit dramatic, but I'm stressing out hardcore! Thanks for any and all help. CSDCAS question: 5 of my schools are due on CSDCAS tomorrow (1/15), while my #1 school isn't due until 2/15. I HAVENT EVEN STARTED the really hardcore essay that's due on 2/15, because I thought I could add a school+their essay after I submit tomorrow, just as long as the deadline hasn't passed yet. Is this right? Can I still add my school later AND still add an essay!? Q: Can I add more programs to apply to AFTER I submit my application? A: Yes. When you submit your application, it will only go out to the school(s) listed at the time of submission. You may add programs to apply to at any time up until the end of the application cycle as long as their individual deadlines have not passed. Just go to the “school designations” section of your application and select “update designations” to add your additional schools. Please note that you must pay the difference in application fees and that you may NOT make changes to your application information before it is sent to additional programs. -AMH

jpiccolo Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 Yeah they aren't very clear about it! To be safe I took off any school designations that weren't ready to submit. After e-submitting for one school, I added 2 more designations and attached essays when I was ready.

I also thought this wasn't clear and on Dec 29th I had the same panic, but on the Personal Essay Information page they do say: "Please note: should you add a new school later in the cycle, you will have the opportunity to enter a new essay for the new school ONLY." https://portal.csdcas.org/csdcasHelpPages/instructions-and-faq/additional-information/personal-essays/index.html I still called and checked because I wanted to be sure. I submitted my first application on Dec 30th, then added three new essays for three other schools and submitted those on Jan 9th. CSDCAS has its benefits and convenience (as well as annoyances), but they really do make some things confusing and unclear!

I esubmitted in late December with one school and essay. Since that deadline I have added two more schools and new essays. I just added a designation then attached the essay and paid for it.
