BobSacamano Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 (edited) Hi, I'm a Canadian applying to Canadian Masters programs in Statistics. I received an offer in the mail today asking me to make my decision by February 3rd. Now this is ridiculous because deadlines are early February and I just submitted my applications a couple weeks ago. The chances of me hearing from any of my other schools by then is very small. I've sent the school a letter thanking them for their offer and asking for an extension on my decision. If the school doesn't give me an extension, or gives me one that still doesn't work, how would you respond? I'm not sure whether I should just decline them or not because they are near the bottom of my choices. Thanks Edited January 26, 2015 by BobSacamano
.letmeinplz// Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 If you are confident in your app, don't let a school bully you into making the wrong decision for yourself.
iphi Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Write to them and explain the situation. If they still are forcing you, say you can not make a decision but since they are pressuring you it is a "no". Should everything else fall through it is very likely that this type of school will still be willing to take you when April/May rolls around.
