How Do I say "thank you for the offer" without accepting it yet

Hi,

I have recently got in to a program. They want to know whether I am accepting or rejecting their offer. The deadline for the that is still 2 months away, and there is still a bunch of other schools I am waiting to hear from. But they also want to know whether I am going to attend their open house in four weeks. What is the appropriate way to say "thank you for the offer, I am interested, and I'll be attending the open house" without sounding like I am accepting their offer?

Thanks!

Looks good to me.

Looks good to me.

I am just worried that they'll misunderstand me and think I'm accepting the offer (which I am not ready to do yet)

They won't. The admissions committee has been doing this for years, they understand that you have other options to consider.

In my email response I said something along the lines of "I look forward to visiting during the open house weekend."

I replied straightforwardly: "I am extremely excited blah... blah... blah....I am now still waiting admission results from other schools, but XXX University (Prof. XXX group) is clearly one of my top choices"

I answered that I appreciated the admission offer and would like to visit the school and meet with professors before making a decision.

if you already visited, you could easily just add a line that you will let them know as soon as you make a final decision. That would make it clear that you are still deciding.
