Changing Schools due to Change of Research Interest

After entering grad school, but before becoming a PhD candidate, if you feel that your research interests have changed, and although your CS department does research in your new area of interest, you feel there is a better match elsewhere, then would it be possible to transfer to a different school without making a bad name for yourself at your current institution?
