floatingmolecule
Others in the program have been rejected or waitlisted, but I was merely told that a decision had not been reached about my application. Is that another way of saying "you are waitlisted"? I have not seen any acceptances yet.
MidwesternAloha
No. It just means yours may not have been reviewed yet. "Waitlisted" is an official status designation. floatingmolecule
floatingmolecule
What if you've already had an interview? Does that change things?

floatingmolecule
What exactly is under review? Does that make me worse off than a person on the waitlist......that they aren't sure if I'm good enough to be waitlisted and might be flat out rejected instead? sofiefatale
"Under review" means just that, that they are still reviewing your application and deciding where to place you. At this point, you could still be accepted, you could be waitlisted, or you could be rejected... floatingmolecule
floatingmolecule
Thanks guys. I was just very confused when I saw that one of the people waitlisted had a far lower GPA and GRE scores than I did. I am still confused, but at least I know that everything is still possible.
