lazaria
Does anyone have any experience with this program or university? I am considering supplementing my studies with their online certificate. Any insight is appreciated!
twentysix
I ask this question honestly and not to start a firestorm. Are certificates respected in academia/PhD application period?
duran0
At least in the humanities -- not really. The only exception I can think of are language certifications (e.g. N1 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test). Guillaume
lazaria
Yeah, I don't think the "certificate" pulls much weight, honestly. I am interested in joint English/GWS programs, and have been told my a couple of DGSs that my application would be stronger if I had more GWS units. Thus, I am contemplating WKU's online certificate.
