Vacation14? Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 (edited) Noob here, don't like coffee anyway Here's my situation Graduated in 2010 (barely) out of a University in Canada with a BA in Political Science (my transcript is a hoot, ranging from A+ to several F's) 3 years working in my field of study 5.5 years ago I took 2 seminar type courses (C+ & a B grade) so I'm thinking to ask them for a LoR. One of them is still teaching at the Uni while another is teaching as a visiting faculty in another university in the same city My question is: has anyone (with average grades: B) contacted their professors after a long wait (4-8 years) for an LoR? Any suggestions? Note: I live, say about 15000 miles from Canada (so face to face is kinda out of the question) Edited February 25, 2015 by Vacation14?
MidwesternAloha Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 Yep! This is not an uncommon situation. Just include in your email some key things that may help them remember you and attach your resume'/list of accomplishments so they have more to write about.
