Emark Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Hi everyone! I was just wondering if anyone had any updated information on NYU's program? A lot of the things that I have read have discussed disorganization and lack of personalized attention but they have also been posts from the 2006-2011 range. Is anyone in the program, an alumni of the program or have gone to a recent open house have some sort updated information? What is the program like in terms of support from professors and clinic experience? How heavy is the research expectation?--what I mean to ask is how does the research element play into the education on a day-to-day basis. I am very interested in research and theoretical aspects of SLP that NYU emphasizes but what does that look like in practice? In the professional world does NYU have a positive reputation? I know some of these may be very insider questions but if anyone on this blog has perhaps spoken to someone who attends about the program anything you could share would be a great great help! Thanks!!!
neucool Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Found this post from 2013 that was helpful: I'm in the same boat though, I don't know much!
Chandru1 Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 I'm interested in the sociolinguistics of SLP, so NYU is a good choice for me.
Slp2b123 Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 Hi, I'm also really interested in finding out more about their program. Anyone with any insight would be a great help!!
