demelza_cat Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Hi All, Has anyone heard back yet? Thanks!
TheCrow Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Haven't heard anything from their AM program either.
TheCrow Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Accepted! I asked for a little more money, but this looks like where I'll go.
niknik92 Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Accepted! Do they tell you in the letter if you got aid?
TheCrow Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 They attach a second letter if you got a significant merit-based award.
niknik92 Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Thank you! I looked at the portal again and realized the second letter!
jharper Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Any regular 2-year day program people still waiting? I haven't heard yet!
demelza_cat Posted March 13, 2015 Author Posted March 13, 2015 I applied to the 3-year part-time program. I'm still waiting.
kanelson Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 I applied to the full-time program and I'm still anxiously waiting
jharper Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 I wonder if today will be the day since yesterday was the 15th (day that they said we'd have decisions by).
jharper Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Have you 2-year people heard back? I called yesterday and they said they'd be making a final decision on my app today so I'd hear on Friday. Wondering if I am in the second tier or something or if most of y'all still haven't heard back?
french_press Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 (edited) I haven't heard back yet. I was told it has nothing to do with the merit of the application, but it's still a bit worrying. This is when people are making decisions, so if I don't even know if I got in yet, how am I supposed to make a decision between programs? It makes me feel like I am not valued enough to receive an acceptance decision at an appropriate time, or at least by the stated deadline... Edited March 19, 2015 by french_press
french_press Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Moreover, if it's a rejection after having to wait for an extended period of time, that's just going to be heartbreaking.

It makes me feel like I am not valued enough to receive an acceptance decision at an appropriate time, or at least by the stated deadline... Yup, I totally feel you on this. Columbia didn't send out acceptances for their advanced standing program until 12 days after when they said they would... so sometimes I think schools just get behind but it's also frustrating for students because we are counting on hearing back in a timely manner in order to make decisions. Good luck to you!
french_press Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 I completely understand getting behind in the process. However, we deserve to receive an update on the admissions process if they will not be able to get us decisions by the stated deadline. Just a generic email would be nice!
kanelson Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 I spoke with admissions this morning and they told me that my application is currently being looked over by the second of two readers and that I should hear back no later than next Friday. It's good to finally hear back from them but still agonizing to have to wait another week :/
jharper Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 I got in! Didn't get an email but there was a status update on my application in the portal.
