I just checked my online portal for Northeastern University and was accepted (WOOHOO!!!!) with conditions. I will be receiving a letter soon and I'm sure will get more information on that. But does anyone know what this might mean?? This is what it says: Congratulations on being conditionally accepted to the Bouvé College of Health Sciences at Northeastern University! An official acceptance letter will be mailed to you shortly. When you receive the acceptance letter, you should complete the enclosed form and return it to us with your DEPOSIT by the date specified in the letter. Once you confirm, your program will reserve a place for you in the entering class. Thanks for the help!

Most offers are conditional if you haven't obtained a BS yet.  They just need a transcript showing that you earned your degree.  There are other reasons for a conditional offer, but those are much more rare.  For example, an international student was admitted with the condition that they take English classes (low TOEFL or some such).

Congratulations!

You should be fine! Could be just "conditional" on maintaining a certain GPA/degree, etc. One of my acceptances is noted on their system as "conditional"... upon the condition of me successfully paying their deposit :)

Ah, that makes perfect sense. As I am graduating this semester I assume it must be conditional on my receiving my BA, and maintaining my grades. "Accepted with conditions" just makes it sound a little less exciting at first glance than simply "you've been accepted!" All in all, very, very excited. Thanks for prompt responses!

One of mine's conditional based on them receiving my official transcripts (I only uploaded scanned copies).

Wait for the official acceptance letter, which should say what are the conditions. Right now, it sounds as if you need to make a deposit first to reserve a spot.

Being accepted with conditions is totally normal when you are still finishing up a prior program.  It does not mean anything negative or that your acceptance is less exciting!  It just means that if for some reason you didn't finish your current program then you wouldn't be accepted
