danwaterfield Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Hello, last one of these was in 2014 or so. I'll be at Queens, studying for a PhD in Eighteenth-Century History and Lit Anyone else?
Feanor Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 I'd come for Part III of the Mathematical Tripos, but I have not yet decided whether to go to Cambridge or to Oxford. I'm still waiting for news regarding College placement and funding in both places.
danwaterfield Posted March 24, 2015 Author Posted March 24, 2015 I'd be joining Christ's College Congrats! I know someone at Christ's and they adore it. But whichever college you ended up at, the vast majority adores it, apparently.
Feanor Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 It is settled, I'll go to Cambridge. Where are all the Cantabrigians?
danwaterfield Posted March 27, 2015 Author Posted March 27, 2015 It is settled, I'll go to Cambridge. Where are all the Cantabrigians? The research council studentships haven't been announced yet. I've got a student registry one, but those are rare; there should be an influx soon...ish, as the research councils were supposed to have been announced weeks ago.
Feanor Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Oh well, it seems Cambridge is not really popular in the GradCafe.
danwaterfield Posted April 17, 2015 Author Posted April 17, 2015 odd - there's a reasonable number on the survey, but suppose this forum has a very heavy american ivy league ish tinge
