CFBrown Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 Getting kinda nervous that I won't get accepted into USC. Starting to overanalyze reasons why I might've been turned down. One of them could be because I submitted three LORs instead of the requested two. Surely this couldn't be a plausible reason for being rejected....right?
eeee1923 Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 I wouldn't imagine so. I submitted 4 LORs (as opposed to 3) for some of my schools and didn't have any real issues. Now if you'd submitted like 10 LORs that may be issue, but 1 extra shouldn't harm your application package.
Hani2015 Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 (edited) I have 6 letter of recommendations. I submitted 6 for USC because the system allow me to submit up to 6. UCLA, up to 4. so I submitted 4. Also in the requirements they said " minimum 3 " not " only 3 " if there is someone will be rejected due to many recommendations, it is sure me. but you submitted 3. that's at all not " too Many " Edited March 7, 2015 by Hani2015
CFBrown Posted March 7, 2015 Author Posted March 7, 2015 I knew I was stressing over nothing! So it'll be my poor GREs that would've done me in
Hani2015 Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 I knew I was stressing over nothing! So it'll be my poor GREs that would've done me in do not worry. GRE is not everything. Look at the stats of students who got admitted. I was surprised that many students who have very high GRE scores got rejected and those with low GRE scores got admitted.
