SeanDDavies Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 How important is the fit with the advisor vs. the program/school fit? I have yet to find a reliable source of ranking schools. The school where I got offered admittance is not as well known as some others but the advisor is a great fit and she is a great mentor. I am wait listed at another which is well known but I don't think my chances are very good at this point. My career goal is academia.

SeanDDavies Posted March 7, 2015 Author Posted March 7, 2015 I dont know the rankings. I searched US news rankings counseling psychology but only clinical and psychology come up which might be different than counseling.
