Just wondering who else will be attending Mizzou for grad school? I haven't technically accepted the offer yet, but I am 95% sure I will be going here!

Congrats! I have also received an offer but haven't made any decisions. I'm curious about funding; they were hoping to have news around now. Have you heard anything? Have you visited the program?

Hi all! I, too, received an offer. I applied for the Coverdell Fellowship for returned Peace Corps volunteers. The department recommended me, so hopefully I'll receive positive news this week. Fingers crossed. If I receive it, I'll accept the offer.

I visited the campus this summer and met with Barbara McLay and Judith Goodman. Both were really nice and have been so helpful in helping me to navigate the fellowship application process. I'm hopeful that I'll be there in June.

As a follow up, I just spoke with Bev in the Office of Graduate Studies. She told me that decisions about fellowships should be made early this week. That office will then contact the department who should notify us. Best of luck to all of us!

Okay, awesome!! No I haven't heard about funding yet either, but am anxious to hear back about it. I haven't visited the program yet but plan to go to the open house on April 10. Good luck to all of you, and hope to see a few of you there for grad school!

I just received an email with a GA offer from the department. Whew...relief! No word yet about the Peace Corps Coverdell Fellowship, but the departmental offer cements the decision. Off to Mizzou this June!!!

So how are you all finding Mizzou? Like jgconforti, I am a returned Peace Corps volunteer, and the Coverdell fellowship is very attractive. I don't know if I'll be able to visit, so I'd love to hear from current students.

It turns out I did not get the Coverdell Fellowship. It seems like funding was cut, and they're reserving the few remaining fellowships for people in other disciplines (Public Policy and Political Science, I believe). It's really too bad.
