trickspeedcuts Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 Hey all, new to this so bear with me.... Trying to determine the differences in the PHD vs. the DBA in terms of: - post graduate employment - pay - Admissions requirements It appears as though the DBA is somewhat less rigorous, designed more with the practical as opposed to the complete theoretical, but yet is still considered "terminal" and equivalent to the PHD with respect to smaller 4 years schools (where I would like to work upon completion). Thanks in advance! - Bryan
trickspeedcuts Posted August 13, 2009 Author Posted August 13, 2009 I should mention - this is for accounting and/or business administration.
shai Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 I would appreciate an answer here too. Would the DBA be considered "less academic" once on the job hunt as a professor or research position ? Why do some programs give a PhD and some a DBA ? Thanks ! Shai
