UVA Accepted Students

Hi Everyone!

 

Is anyone definitely going to UVA? I just wanted to see if anyone had anymore information on the program. I only know what is on the website and was accepted a few days ago! Any information would help, or students that are definitely going!

I'm not going to UVA but I visited this summer!! I decided against applying for financial reasons but it is absolutely beautiful. The buildings are all brand new and the professor I talked to was super helpful and sweet. They didn't let me tour the clinic due to HIPPA reasons but it was in the new building I was in so I imagine it is super nice. I know he told me funding is extremely limited if you were interested in that. If you contact them im sure they would be more than willing to let you come visit, they were super accommodating with me this summer when classes weren't even in session. I don't know much else about the program but hope that helps a little! Goodluck and congrats, it seemed like a really nice program!

Hi! I still have a few more schools to hear from, but either way, I'm most likely going to be going to be at UVa in the fall! I' m also there for undergrad now, so I can try to answer any questions you have! It's a great program, and Charlottesville is a wonderful place! Are there any specific questions that you have?

 

Also, was there a link to the 'Graduate Student Handbook' in your acceptance email? That might be a helpful resource also!

Thank you so much for the insight! I looked through the Graduate Student Handbook and it seems like a really great program. It is nice to know the professors are great and the campus is beautiful. I am still waiting to hear from a few schools, but UVA is looking like the best choice! Thank you again for your help.

I'll most likely be going to UVA as well!

Does anyone know if there's a Facebook group yet? I'm moving to Charlottesville from out of state, and would love to start getting to know everyone else!

I'm also still trying to figure out the whole apartment thing, so if anyone might be interested in having a roommate, please let me know!

I got an unofficial e-mail about a week ago, and then my portal was updated yesterday! I didn't get an e-mail about the portal being updated though, it just kind of appeared. Still no snail mail!

I also got the unofficial email last week, and an email this morning (at 11:30) to log-in to my application and see the official letter. I was asked in my official letter to respond within 30 days (although the unofficial email asked for a response within 2 weeks of receipt of the official letter), so there will likely be another wave of decisions after this. I'm starting to consider uva more seriously but I hope to visit some schools first. I heard they are in the process of making financial aid decisions/funding or whatever so hopefully we'll hear soon. That could make a difference for me. Love the Virginia area. It's a nice place!

So far UVA is my number one! Will have to visit in the next couple of weeks to know for sure.
