  11. I had one at West Virginia! I know people who have had some at Emerson, NY Medical College, and Long Island. I know there's tons more but can't seem to think of anymore off the top of my head
  12. I was curious about this too! Looking at last years gradcafe results page stats seem to vary alot. Some very high and some lower GPA's with acceptance right away (3.9s and 3.4), then some 3.6 GPAs with waitlist and others w the same stats got straight rejection. My assumption for this would be that they look at the canidate as a whole and not strictly off of GRE/GPA's. Atleast I hope thats the case. Also looks like a decent amount of people were accepted off the waitlist so thats always a good sign. If anyone knows actual stats/information and not just whats posted online please share And goodluck katie14 hope things work out for you, stay positive
  13. Hoping for the best but my guts telling me a rejection is on its way in the mail
  14. Haha thanks guys !! I still havent hear from my #1 and am pretty sure I will get wait listed, so I'll be in the same boat. I would like to hope most people hink this way. I decided I prefer the other choice I have more and will decline this offer this week! Goodluck and stay positive !!!

  17. Just accepted to jacksonville! Looking for any information on this program at all. I'm from Pennsylvania so the chances of me getting to visit before April 15 are slim. Wondering if they give funding my acceptance didn't mention any!
  18. Can anyone give me some insight on Edinboro? I saw a lot of waitlist and maybe two acceptances on the results page but I haven't heard anything, is that a bad sign? I know rejections typically come in the mail and acceptances have been phone calls so I feel like it could be a toss up unless they called everyone today already! Would love any info or opinions
  19. Anyone know when appalachian state will be notifying students ?!
  20. No problem! If you cant make the open house I would definitely email Dr.Millar, shes been so helpful and honest with all my questions!
  21. ChatterBrain, I visited Radford in the fall. I absolutely love the program and can not find a flaw in it. The university is small, but beautiful. The facilities all seem brand new. The on-campus clinic is extremely nice, and they have tons of resources to use for your therapy sessions. I remember they had one specific room in the clinic that was even larger and had lots of color and activities in it (sensory activities, TV built into wall, things like that). I can't remember if it was for children specifically w/ ASD or children in general, but it was a nice upgrade from your standard plain therapy room with just a table and chairs. One thing I specifically liked about the program was the professors open-door policy. You can come visit a professor and get their help at any time without waiting or scheduling a meeting. They really hold true to this rule, as I experienced first hand. Multiple graduate students came in during my meeting with the clinic director to ask her questions, although I didn't mind because it showed how much they cared about their students! The prep room for the gradate students is also very nice. They have laptops where you can watch all of your therapy sessions, a kitchen, and every student has their own little cubicle area to do work in. Another added plus was the director told me after your first year most students successfully get in-state tuition, which can significantly reduce the cost if you are not from Virginia! I have been emailing back and forth with the director this week and she has been extremely helpful, kind, and prompt with responses! These are all the things I can think of right off hand because my visit was about 5 months ago, but I hope this helps! Let me know if you think of anything else and I can try my best to answer.
  22. I'm not going to UVA but I visited this summer!! I decided against applying for financial reasons but it is absolutely beautiful. The buildings are all brand new and the professor I talked to was super helpful and sweet. They didn't let me tour the clinic due to HIPPA reasons but it was in the new building I was in so I imagine it is super nice. I know he told me funding is extremely limited if you were interested in that. If you contact them im sure they would be more than willing to let you come visit, they were super accommodating with me this summer when classes weren't even in session. I don't know much else about the program but hope that helps a little! Goodluck and congrats, it seemed like a really nice program!
  23. Im by no means positive but it wouldn't surprise me if the open house was fairly short. Radford is a small school so the facilities are not that big (but they are very nice!!) I couldn't imagine it taking too long to tour the whole thing. However, they did mention a lunch and I'm sure there will be time to ask questions so it could be longer! I would definitely give them a call and express your concerns and see what they say! I really wanted to go but because I already visited and it is Easter weekend, I figure it would be a little much for me to drive there and then home, then to my relatives, and then back to my undergraduate university all in one weekend! Also, there is no shared application database here. If there is then I must be extremely clueless haha!
