acatsavestheday
Hey there. I'm looking for public policy programs that have strong social policy programs within them. Specifically I'd probably like to concentrate on gender/or and LGBT policy issues, and I didn't know whether certain programs were known for this emphasis. I know GWU is one example but do people know of more? I'm not new to grad school admissions but I am re-orienting the types of schools I'm looking at. I'm majoring in psychology with a minor in gender studies (graduating next month) and I had previously been interested in applied social psychology programs, though I've now realized that direct work in policy is more up my alley. I also have a combined three years of research experience in political psychology labs and a combined three years of work in student groups dedicated to social issues, if that matters. Sjn092
You should check out the Heller School at Brandeis. They offer an MPP solely focused on social policy issues and have a specific "Women and Gender Studies" concentration. The MPP itself has very small cohorts of students as well. Worth looking into, perhaps. chocolatecheesecake
