Who got into an Anthro Phd program with lowest math GREs?

Hi Everyone,

I know there is a page for admissions and GRE questions, but I would really like to get some anthropology-specific answers.

I am hoping to apply to Phd programs this fall and I think I have a strong application. However, my math GRE scores will be really low. No study tips needed. I've been studying for a few months and at this point just need to move on and focus on other aspects of my application.

So, to get some idea of how much my math scores will set me back in the application process, I wondered who out there got into an anthropology program with really low GRE math scores? How low? Did you get funded?

I got in, fully funded with a generous stipend and my math scores were abysmal. I hadn't taken a math class in ..ohhh 12 years by the time I applied. Seriously.

my verbal is 430. am i wasting my time to apply? besides my abysmal gre score my application is relatively strong (good LOR, research experience, teaching experience, etc). english is not my native language. i'm finding the gre really hard. :oops:
