mannat
I'm a SoC Design Verification Engineer with about 10 years of work experience. I have always felt that having a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering would have helped boost my Digital/Analog basics, for in my undergrad I just had a single Vlsi course and only by chance I got into the ASIC/SoC DV field.I'm good at accomplishing my day to day work in all the projects I have handled so far, (worked on contract roles mostly on mobile application SoCs for major players in the industry). But when it comes to confidence in the basics of Digital electronics, I still feel after 10 years of career, I have lot of scope to improve. I'm planning to go for a MS degree (Online) Electrical Engineering (IC Design) course. Will this help to improve my confidence in this specific area of work, of course I would plan to put in 100% focus into studying the courses. Experts around here, please shed some light on the below questions: 1. Will it make sense to do this degree at this time of career? 2. Will learning the courses with full focus help boosting confidence on digital/analog basics? 3. What are the few major advantages that come with a Masters degree from careers perspective?
