bonny Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Hi everyone, I am having such big headache choosing which program gives me a better and more stable career in Canada. So recently I got accept by a couple universities in Hong Kong for Master of Public Health (health promotion), and Master of Health informatics, I have no luck with Canadian grad school therefore I have to choose between these two. However, I worried about the credentials that I earned over there whether they will be applicable in Canada. Health promotion's credentials.. are not as important as Health informatics? I assumed health promotion is more about scientific knowledge you share and health informatics are more practical? I know that Health informatics is a growing field... Which program is more likely to get me a job after graduation? Somehow I feel like health promotion's job market is very fluctuating and they love health professionals more (I graduated with a B.A in Health Studies)? Which degree is more likely to get me a more competitive income in long term? I really appreciate everyone of your help. Thank you in advance!
rising_star Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Why don't you look at the educational history of some of the people who are currently in the type of job you want to have? That should give you some insight into what the job market looks like and which degree you should complete.
